About Us |

Marianne Rho, founder of Connect the
Dots, has been a pediatric occupational therapist
since 1998. Upon graduating magna cum laude from the
University of Southern California with a Bachelors
of Science in Occupational Therapy, she has immersed
herself in the pediatric world. Her background includes
experiences with clinic, home and school based sessions,
with children of all ages and diagnoses. To continue
her expertise with young children, she obtained a
Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education
at Teachers College, Columbia University. In 2002,
she became SIPT (Sensory Integration Praxis Test)
certified from the University of Southern California/Western
Psychological Services. In 2005, she became certified
as a Chair Yoga Instructor, learning how to adapt
and teach yoga to children who have difficulties working
on the floor.

Amy Choi is our full time office manager at Connect the Dots. She graduated from City College of New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Since summer of 2008, she has been an integral part of the CTD family. After learning more about occupational therapy and becoming involved with the children, she is returning to school to get her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She is currently attending Queens College of New York for prerequisite courses. She enjoys, traveling, being with family and friends and shopping. |

Catherine Miranda is excited to be a part of CTD! She graduated as Valedictorian from NYU's occupational therapy program and went on to work at Duke University Medical Center, NYU Medical Center and NY Presbyterian / Cornell Medical Center. Catherine's pediatric work has included home care, school, and sensory gym settings, spanning ages 2 through 18. Catherine currently works full time at the Cooke Center for Learning and Development, where she treats a caseload of children with special needs and serves as the occupational therapy supervisor. Prior to entering the field of OT, Catherine was a music theater performance major at NYU; she still loves to use music, movement, and creativity in her OT work at CTD! |

Christine Rocchio graduated from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences Studies and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Christine has attended trainings and has experience in Therapeutic Listening, the DIR model and sensory integration. Her clinical experiences include working in mental health, hand therapy and pediatrics settings. Currently Christine works full time at a school in New York City for children with neurodevelopmental disorders of relating and communicating, including PDD and autism. During her free time Christine enjoys running, cooking, traveling and spending time with both family and friends. |

Allan Abeleda graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Allied Medical Professions. He has been working with children particularly with sensory integration techniques and handwriting since 2002. Currently, he is taking his Masters in Business Administration at Fordham University. |

Cristy Mendoza is excited to become a member of CTD. She graduated Summa Cumme Laude from University of Florida with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2001. She later went on to complete her Masters in Child Development from Tufts University with a concentration in Special Needs and Cognitive Development. Cristy has worked in a variety of pediatric settings including Early Intervention, Inclusive Preschool, Public School, and Sensory Clinics. In addition to her work at CTD, she works at a New Jersey sensory clinic and Weehawken Public School District. Cristy has completed extensive sensory integration training through NYU, The Sensory Processing Foundation and has completed SIPT traning with WPS. In addition she has taken courses in Therapeutic Listening, Astronaut Training, DIR/Floortime Basic, NDT for the infant, and Handwriting Without Tears. |

Maryann Deutsch has been part of the CTD team since 2008. She
graduated summa cum- laude from the University at Buffalo SUNY. She
has worked in both pediatric and adult inpatient, outpatient, home and
school settings. She currently works in a public school system in New
Jersey. Maryann has training in Sensory Integration and became
certified in the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) in March
2008. She has taken advanced courses at Rutgers University focused on
pediatric cognition and memory. Maryann enjoys cooking, working on her new home and spending time with her husband, family and friends. |

Cindy Lee joined the CTD team in 2007. She earned her Ph.D. in Advanced Occupational Therapy from New York University in 2001. Cindy also teaches in the Department of Occupational Therapy at LIU: Brooklyn campus. Her area of expertise is pediatrics. She has extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings. Cindy is certified in Sensory Integration by the University of Southern California and Western Psychological Services (USC/WPS). |

Kathie Brown is delighted to be part of the team at Connect the Dots. Since completing her graduate degree in Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Kathie has spent the past ten years in early intervention and school settings as well as in pediatric clinical settings. Kathie is certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment and has had advanced training in Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, Floortime, and pediatric feeding. Kathie is passionate about exploring movement and early sensory motor experiences as a foundation for cognitive development. She is currently studying with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, developer of the School for Body-Mind Centering, and is certified in Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga through this school. Kathie's work as an OT is informed by her practices of meditation, contact improvisational dance, and Traditional Thai Bodywork. |

Karen Geisenheimer is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a Masters Degree from New York University, specializing in sensory integration. She has worked with a wide range of clients including infants, toddlers and teenagers, while also collaborating and performing training with the families and caregivers. Karen has received extensive training and certification in a variety of treatment approaches including Therapeutic Listening, Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding and Handwriting Without Tears. Her provision of services spans sensory clinics, schools and treatment in the home, allowing her to provide a well rounded therapeutic approach to each child. Karen is excited to be a part of the CTD team and looks forward to working with each and every child and family. |
